Quick Thoughts:
The Wizards offense wasn't very good last season, in part because they had poor shot selection. They took more mid-range shots than any team in the NBA, and shot fewer three pointers and free throws than half the league. John Wall and Bradley Beal were the biggest culprits. Wall and Beal took the sixth and seventh most mid-range jump shots in the league, even though both players made them at a below average rate. Shooting low-efficiency shots at a bad percentage is not a recipe for a good offense, a problem they will need to fix if they want to significantly improve.

Player to Watch: Martell Webster
Webster has actually been the second most valuable Wizard over the last two seasons, based on win shares. He's a terrific shooter who, like Trevor Ariza, specializes in the corner three. In fact, besides his defense, Webster does a decent Ariza impression:

Washington decided to sign Paul Pierce and continue to bring Webster off the bench, but expect him to play a major role with the Wizards this season.
