Quick Thoughts:
The Knicks have produced a top five offense over the last two seasons, partly because they never turned the ball over, but mostly due to their prolific shooting. We saw Carmelo Anthony used as their primary power forward, fueling a devastating drive-and-kick game that led the league in three pointers over that span. It remains to be seen how the newly-installed Triangle Offense will affect their long-range tendencies: Phil Jackson's Bulls ranked in the bottom ten in three point attempts, while his Lakers ranked in the top ten. Based on their returning personnel, along with the addition of Jose Calderon, it should continue to be "bomb's away" in New York, so long as they continue to make them at a high percentage.

Player to Watch: Tim Hardaway Jr.
Hardaway had a real case to win Rookie of the Year, finishing second in his class in Win Shares. He provided efficient scoring at a decent volume, and while more than half of his field goal attempts were three pointers, he shot a good percentage both from mid-range and in the restricted area. Junior is turning into a really good offensive player in the mold of Michael Finley, and should emerge as the Knicks' best option on the wing next to Carmelo.
Basketball-Reference.com Play Index:
Back in June, the Knicks traded away Raymond Felton and Tyson Chandler in return for Jose Calderon and Samuel Dalembert, along with a bunch of young assets including Shane Larkin, Cleanthony Early, and Thanasis Antetokounmpo.
Looks like the Knicks may have won this trade.
Next up, the Philadelphia 76ers.
