Quick Thoughts:
It's hard to have any idea who is going to actually play for the Sixers this year, and part of that is because we don't even know who will be on their opening day roster. As Zach Lowe described in his piece today, the 76ers have mastered the art of signing non-guaranteed contracts, and they could literally cut more than half of their players tomorrow without financial consequence. Even of the players who will make the team, we don't know who is any good. Seven of the twenty players on their current roster didn't even play in the NBA last year, and another eight played less than 1000 minutes. Besides Michael Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel (and the injured Joel Embiid), it's pretty much "throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and see what sticks."

Player to Watch: Hollis Thompson
Thompson is on one of those team-friendly, non-guaranteed contracts that runs three years at the league minimum, meaning he could be cut at any time. His roster spot is safe though, and he should enter training camp as a favorite to win a starting job on the wing. The Georgetown product went undrafted two years ago and, after a year in the D-League, caught on with the 76ers. It wasn't long before he started earning rotation minutes, and eventually he became Philadelphia's starting small forward. Thompson can shoot: he had a better Effective Field Goal Percentage last year than Ray Allen and Dirk Nowitzki, but doesn't do much else. He won't draw fouls, doesn't rebound well for his position, and isn't a very good passer. He's shown some promise defensively, though, and could find a niche as "3-and-D" player with the right team.

Irving, Lillard, and Rose also won Rookie of the Year Awards.
Next up, the Miami Heat.
